Lived experience, opportunities for reflection and learning, roles in the community and public sectors, and the influence of key colleagues and leaders has helped John develop a strong sense of social justice and commitment to community. He works part-time at Hepatitis Australia in viral hepatitis policy.

Immediately prior to his tenure with Hepatitis Australia, John was Executive Officer at Hepatitis ACT from 2012 to 2018. Before that he held various government sector roles, including in alcohol and other drug policy and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health policy.

When he’s not reading, talking or writing about viral hepatitis policy you might find him in his veggie patch, catching trout in the Snowy Mountains, or enjoying live music.
