To mark World Hepatitis Day 2026, Health+Law launched an Impact Story featuring Hepatitis Australia CEO Lucy Clynes, highlighting how the first national Legal Needs Study (LeNS) has shed light on the legal and social barriers faced by people living with hepatitis B.
The research has helped strengthen advocacy with government and migration agencies, informed new community resources, supported training for lawyers and migration agents, and built legal literacy across the hepatitis sector through legal first aid training for peer and community workers. It has also provided a stronger evidence base to help improve access to care and support for people living with hepatitis B.
