The Hepatitis B Community Educator's (HBE) Network was first established in late 2018 after a small amount of funding was made available to extend the work of the Hepatitis B Community Education Project.  The need for the Network became apparent during the course of the Hepatitis B Community Education Grants Program and Hepatitis B Symposiums conducted by Hepatitis Australia in 2017 and 2018.

In addition to the online platform for the members, the HBE Network provides the rare opportunity for hepatitis B community educators to come together to share their experiences, skills and knowledge.  The HBE Network is currently only open to hepatitis educators working in community-based hepatitis organisations who are members of Hepatitis Australia.
