Child abuse and a legacy of hepatitis C and 3 liver transplants

As the Child Abuse Royal Commission draws to a close, the lingering question is what happens to the children, now adults, who were so badly abused and then let down by the institutions responsible for their care.Many are left with life-long mental and physical illnesses like Russell Clark. He turned to drug use after escaping the Catholic boarding school where he was raped and beaten and is now gravely ill. He has a legacy of hepatitis C and 3 liver transplants and is currently fighting for an appropriate level of legal compensation.
