4th May 2015: Canberra Public Hearing - Hepatitis C in Prisons
This additional hearing is being conducted with a specific focus on hepatitis C prevalence and prevention strategies in prisons as well as treatment for hepatitis C in Prisons. Representatives from Hepatitis Australia, Hepatitis ACT, Hepatitis NSW and the Public Health Association of Australia will be attending the hearing. Also attending will be the National Drug Research Institute and also organisations representing the prison officers.
Among other matters, the issue of needle and syringe exchange programs in prisons will be discussed.
