World Hepatitis Day

28 July 2012

Hepatitis Australia believes that World Hepatitis Day will prompt all Australians to think about the huge scale of viral hepatitis infection globally. On World Hepatitis Day, Hepatitis Australia asks that Australians join with us and show their support by talking openly and supportively about viral hepatitis and liver health.

Wherever you are, let’s talk about viral hepatitis on World Hepatitis Day and help create a healthier and more supportive community together.

World Hepatitis Day in Australia is coordinated nationally by Hepatitis Australia with the support of state and territory hepatitis organisations and the following national partners and their state and territory members:

  • Anex Australia
  • Australian Illicit Injecting Drug Users’ League
  • Australasian Society for HIV Medicine
  • Haemophilia Foundation of Australia
  • Multicultural HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C Service
  • The Kirby Institute
  • The National Centre in HIV Social Research
  • The Pharmacy Guild of Australia
  • Public Health Association of Australia

Hepatitis Australia would like to thank and acknowledge the following for their support of the 2012 Australian World Hepatitis Day Campaign:

  • Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing
  • Janssen-Cilag Pty Ltd
  • Roche Products Pty Limited
  • Bristol-Myers Squibb Australia
  • Merck Sharp & Dohme (Australia) Pty Limited
