377,000 Australians are living
with chronic hepatitis B & C.

How you can help us?

You could help Hepatitis Australia in its work by giving a donation through Everyday Hero; please just follow the prompts.

Also, some people, after obtaining the appropriate legal advice, decide that a making a bequest in their will is a wonderful way to assist a cause close to their heart.

This can be done by:

  • Designating an amount of money, or a percentage of your estate. This is called a specific bequest.
  • Designating the residue of your estate after other beneficiaries have their share. This is called a residuary bequest.

Making a bequest in your will is a step that will require careful thought and consultation with your solicitor, executors, and whoever else will be concerned with the decisions you make regarding your estate, so we encourage you to do so.

As Hepatitis Australia is a health promotion charity, all gifts to us are tax deductable. This means that the amount of your bequest can be deducted from any assessable income earned by your estate in the same period. Any bequest or donation over the value of $2 is tax deductable.

If you would like to ask more questions about our work, or if you would like to discuss any details about your bequest, please phone 02 6232 4257 or email us on admin@hepatitisaustralia.com and we would be happy to communicate with you.
