Priority population groups
We advocate strongly to improve services for all people affected by hepatitis B and hepatitis C. We will pay particular attention to those groups which are at higher risk of hepatitis B or hepatitis C infection and those groups which have a disproportionate burden of chronic disease. These include: people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, children born to mothers with chronic hepatitis B, people in custodial settings, people with a history of injecting drug use, and new, and potential injectors.
